Bushnell WebWorks (“Bushnell WebWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides web-based application programming interfaces available at api.busww.com (the “APIs”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect in connection with the APIs, how we use it, how it may be shared, and the privacy rights that may apply depending on where you live.
By accessing or using the APIs, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed in connection with use of the APIs, including information transmitted to the APIs by software applications calling the APIs (“Requests”).
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party products, services, or websites (including any Third-Party Services) that may be accessed via the APIs. Those parties process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
When you use the APIs, you (or the software calling the APIs on your behalf) may submit data as part of Requests (the “Submitted Data”). Submitted Data may include text, parameters, prompts, configuration values, or other inputs required to fulfill the Request.
We collect and retain:
IP addresses associated with Requests, and
technical logs and metadata, such as timestamps, endpoint(s) called, response/error codes, and diagnostic details (collectively, “Log Data”).
We use IP addresses, Submitted Data, and Log Data only for these purposes:
Providing and operating the APIs (processing Requests and returning responses).
Rate limiting and abuse prevention, including enforcing usage limits and protecting the APIs.
Troubleshooting and service reliability, including debugging and performance monitoring.
Security and misuse investigation, including detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
Aggregate analytics and product improvement: We may perform aggregate analyses on collected information to understand usage patterns and improve the APIs. These analyses are intended to produce summary insights rather than identify individuals.
We do not use Submitted Data for targeted advertising, sell it, or share it for marketing purposes.
The APIs may act as a proxy to Third-Party Services (for example, AI/ML providers). To fulfill a Request, the APIs may transmit Submitted Data (and associated technical information as necessary) to the relevant Third-Party Service.
Because the APIs may proxy Requests, any information you submit to the APIs may be shared with the Third-Party Service involved in processing your Request. Third-Party Services may retain and process data under their own policies, which we do not control.
Logs are stored on our web hosting service. Access to logs is limited to:
the hosting provider (as needed to operate and secure the hosting environment), and
authorized Bushnell WebWorks personnel for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
We may share information with vendors who help us operate the APIs (e.g., monitoring, logging, infrastructure support), but only to the extent needed to provide those services and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request,
enforce our Terms, investigate potential violations, or protect the security or integrity of the APIs, or
protect the rights, property, or safety of Bushnell WebWorks, our users, or others.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
The APIs are not intended to collect personally identifiable information (“PII”) or sensitive personal data. Do not submit PII (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers), financial account numbers, government IDs, health data, or any other sensitive information to the APIs.
If you choose to submit personal data or sensitive information, you do so at your own risk. You understand that such information may be:
included in logs for troubleshooting/abuse investigation, and/or
proxied to Third-Party Services as part of fulfilling Requests.
We retain IP addresses, Submitted Data, and Log Data for up to six (6) months, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes) or unless we need to retain specific records for security investigations.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through the APIs. However, no system is perfectly secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for breaches or unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control (including breaches affecting third-party networks, infrastructure providers, or Third-Party Services). Where required by applicable law, we will comply with breach notification obligations.
We may process information in countries other than where you live, including where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have different data protection laws.
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, and we transfer personal data to countries that may not provide an equivalent level of protection, we take measures designed to support lawful transfers (for example, contractual protections such as standard contractual clauses, where applicable).
The APIs are web service endpoints and are not intended to set browser cookies or conduct cross-site tracking. If you access related web pages or dashboards hosted on the same domain, those pages (if any) may have their own cookie practices, which should be disclosed separately.
Even though we do not intend to collect direct identifiers like your name or email address, IP address and certain log data may be considered “personal data” in some jurisdictions. Your rights depend on where you are located and how you interact with the APIs.
Controller. For IP addresses and Log Data we collect for rate limiting, security, and troubleshooting, Bushnell WebWorks generally acts as a data controller. For Submitted Data, your role may vary: if you submit data about others, you may be the controller for that content. In many cases, we process Submitted Data to provide the service and may also transmit it to Third-Party Services to fulfill Requests.
Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR). When applicable, we rely on:
Legitimate interests (e.g., securing the APIs, preventing abuse, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliability), and
Contract/terms performance (processing Requests to provide the APIs),
and, where required, consent (rare for an API context).
Rights. You may have the right to:
request access to personal data,
request rectification,
request deletion,
request restriction of processing,
object to processing (especially where based on legitimate interests),
request data portability (where applicable),
withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent), and
lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You may have rights to access and correct personal information we hold about you, subject to limited exceptions. You may also inquire about how we use and disclose personal information.
You may have rights to confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability, deletion (where applicable), information about sharing, and the ability to object or request review of certain processing, as provided by law.
You may have rights to request access to and correction of personal information we hold about you, subject to limited exceptions.
If you reside in a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, etc.), you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain processing in some cases. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising based on API usage.

Because we do not collect names or emails through the APIs by default, we may need additional information to reasonably verify and locate records. We may deny or limit requests where permitted by law (e.g., where fulfilling a request would impair security, reveal another person’s data, or conflict with legal obligations).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the APIs after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
